The 2006 vintage was marked by hot weather alternating with cold spells. The contrasting weather during the year resulted in heterogeneous quality, depending on the location. Rigorous selection allowed us to retain the best Merlots, particularly aromatic and with good tannic structure, as well as Cabernet Sauvignons with lots of colour, and intense and complex aromas of fresh fruit.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: crimson red with good intensity. Nose: discreet and elegant, combining notes of vanilla, spice (cinnamon), red fruit (morello cherries) and cherry stones. Palate: elegant, well-balanced, with fine tannins and well-integrated oak. The aromas are complex with toasted, peppery and fruity notes. The finish is fresh and lingering.
